SKETCHBOOK PRODUCTIONS

 For this assignment, we were given an animated clip. This clip demonstrates a man going about his usual day to day life, with the man being characterized as a grouchy old man who does not embrace his surroundings. However, halfway through the clip, he has a change of heart after helping an old lady cross a street. The rest of the clip shows him becoming a better person; enjoying the people around him and learning to be a more light hearted individual. Throughout all of this clip, only sound effects and noises from the characters are heard. We as a group were supposed to provide music for the background of these videos, pairing it to emphasize the emotions of the clip. I had joined a group with Sergio, Nico, and Adrianna. We decided to split the video based on different core events. The first part shows the main character being avoidant and depressive; not holding the elevator open, choosing to not help the man with the shopping cart, and ignoring the little girl with the balloon. ...

 For this assignment, we had to create an audio for a prompt. Everybody was tasked with choosing from a selection of prompts following different moods and/ or genres. Then, we would be tasked with creating audio for this scene idea, utilizing our abilities to create our own sounds with real life objects. Our group was given a choice of prompts that we could use to inspire our audio. We had chosen the prompt " There's Something Out There", a horror/ suspense prompt. For this prompt, we had to create an eerie audio that follows this general plot idea. We decided to have it sound as if a man were being chased by approaching dogs in a forest while holding a lantern, signifying the darkness of the environment.  There was four main sound effects that we created; one sound effect per person.
