For my AICE Media Studies class, our teacher tasked us with taking pictures of a subject. In this task, we were supposed to utilize numerous different types of camera shots. In doing this, I had to find solutions to my own unique limitations, while generating a product that I could be proud of. The fruit of my labor is shown in the picture attached: Once assigned this work, I had realized that the time I could spend on this project would be limited. This was due to other factors continuously building up time constraints that left me with a small window of time. Some of these factors included basic barriers, such as assignments from other classes and time that I needed to spend doing other equally important activities. Alongside this, I could not find a live subject willing to participate in my demonstration of photographic talent. Due to these factors, I had to improvise, and work with what I had lying around. Hello, my name is Daniel Dannoui, and I am currently in 11th grade. Even though I haven't even seen half of my life yet, I can successfully say films and movies have had a pivotal part in my development. At an early age, I took on art as a personal hobby. Im still learning new tips and tricks everyday when it comes to the forms of art that I take on. A large amount of these things I learn have come from movies I enjoyed watching; mostly animated movies. One filmmaker/ animator I look up to the most is Hayao Miyazaki, the man who cofounded Studio Ghibli. Two works of his that has inspired me the most would be Howls Moving Castle and Spirited Away. The art style, cinematography, and camera angles have taught me a lot about how perspective warps proportion, swell as how lighting can affect the mood of a piece.
